Our stay had its ups and downs. While we enjoyed the outdoor activities and the stunning lakeside views, we faced challenges with our room assignment and the noise levels around the resort. The dining options were great, especially the buffet breakfast, but the vibe of the resort has shifted quite a bit, catering more to party-goers than families.
Rooms
6.0
We were initially disappointed with our room's accessibility, as it involved climbing multiple stairs, which made it less convenient, especially at night. However, once we settled into a different unit, the lake view was beautiful but the odd arrangement made it difficult to watch television comfortably.
Service
5.0
The service was inconsistent; we didn’t receive a proper greeting upon arrival, and it felt a bit disorganized at times. However, the golf cart shuttles were a helpful mode of transport around the property.
Location
5.0
The resort is quite far from the more central attractions, marked a bit of a hassle during our stay. The twisting roads to Tan Tara Estates made us feel secluded, and we often preferred driving over waiting for shuttles.
Dining
7.0
The breakfast was a highlight with an impressive buffet offering. However, finding parking during busy times was a challenge, and the dining vibe has shifted towards casual bar food rather than refined options.
Facilities
7.0
We appreciated the variety of outdoor activities available, but it was disappointing to see family amenities like the playground replaced with bars catering to a party crowd. The pools were well-kept, providing a good spot for relaxation.

I had a fantastic time at Margaritaville at the Lake of the Ozarks. The location was picturesque with beautiful views of the lake, and my family enjoyed the various amenities, especially the pools and activities tailored for kids. The staff was incredibly attentive, although there were a few hiccups with our initial room setup. Overall, I was pleased with the stay and would happily return for another family getaway.

While the resort has a charming Margaritaville theme and a fun atmosphere, the overall state of the facilities left much to be desired. The location provides great access to outdoor activities, but room conditions and dining experiences could use improvement. It's a mixed bag, leaning towards the lackluster for my taste, but it does have potential with some upgrades.
Rooms
5.0
The room had a musty smell and felt outdated with dark decor and bug issues, which made my stay less enjoyable.
Service
6.0
Though the staff was friendly and eager to assist, my experience was marred by some miscommunication regarding services.
Location
7.0
The resort is set in a nice area with plenty of activities available, but the distance from key attractions made it less convenient than expected.
Dining
5.0
Dining was underwhelming; the drinks lacked flavor, and the food didn't meet my expectations, which was disappointing for a themed resort.
Facilities
5.0
The pools were overcrowded and not as clean as they could be, and the overall condition of the facilities needs significant attention.

Our stay at the resort was enjoyable overall, thanks to the friendly atmosphere and various fun amenities for families. I particularly loved the bowling alley and water park, which kept the kids entertained. However, the rooms felt somewhat outdated, and we encountered some issues with service during peak times. The dining options were decent, but could use a bit more variety, especially at breakfast.
Rooms
7.0
The rooms were clean but in need of some updating. We had to ask to be moved to a penthouse suite, which offered nice views near the pools and restaurants. However, the layout was a bit odd with no good spot to watch TV unless from the sofa bed.
Service
6.0
The service was friendly and accommodating, but they struggled to manage things during peak capacity. They were extremely helpful in resolving our room issues, though.

The resort had plenty of fun activities including swimming and bowling, which made for an engaging stay. However, some areas, like the arcade, could use updates.
